When you purchase a device through MBI, you own it outright — there are no equipment leases or rental fees. You pay for the hardware upfront (or in some cases financed), plus a monthly software subscription based on your plan and industry. MBI does not charge additional hardware rental fees on top of what the manufacturer charges.
Clover devices cannot be reprogrammed to work with a different processor. This is standard across the Clover ecosystem and is not specific to MBI. The upside is that MBI processes on one of the largest and most reliable processing networks in the world.
Absolutely — that's one of the platform's biggest advantages. You can combine a Station as your main register, add a Flex for tableside ordering or line-busting, and pair a Mini as a customer-facing PIN pad — all sharing the same inventory, employee data, and reports in real time through the cloud. Adding a second location is also straightforward.
Most merchants are up and running within 48 hours of approval. MBI configures your device before it ships — your menu items, tax rates, and settings can be pre-loaded so it's ready out of the box. For more complex setups (multiple devices, custom app configurations, or large inventory imports), MBI schedules an onboarding call to walk you through everything.
All devices come with a standard manufacturer warranty. MBI also provides on-site technical support and can coordinate replacements when needed. For urgent situations, the manufacturer's 24/7 support line is also available. Because your data lives in the cloud, swapping to a replacement device is straightforward — no data is lost if a device is damaged.
